PROPOSAL WORK
City of Houston | East Water Purification Plant Enhancement Project 2 - Professional Engineering Services
I served as the graphic designer for both the proposal and interview materials for this $53M PGM, $3B construction project in Houston, Texas. This proposal supports the City of Houston’s East Water Purification Plant Enhancement Project 2, a major infrastructure initiative focused on modernizing solids handling facilities while maintaining uninterrupted plant operations.
Our team was ultimately awarded the project, reflecting the strength of both the technical approach and overall presentation.
Collaboration
This was a highly collaborative effort, bringing together the proposal coordinator, strategist, engineers, support staff, BIM team, and subconsultants to develop technical graphics, layout, and messaging in parallel.
There were shared permissions and responsibility to track and accept changes in Bluebeam to sure we caught all edits.
Flexing the Format
Working closely with the proposal coordinator, I developed a range of tabloid and letter-sized layouts outside of our standard templates, using Illustrator and InDesign to clearly communicate key messaging. Each page was structured to emphasize clarity and strong visual hierarchy.
I also created flexible InDesign templates that remained editable, allowing the coordinator to easily update and manage the copy.
